The Pepper Tree Cellar Door provides a charming Hunter Valley wine experience. Established in 1991, Pepper Tree wine has now grown into a premium wine company. John Devis, the owner and winemaker of Pepper Tree Wines carefully analyze the soils in the regions to choose the perfect plot to grow grapes. Through this passion, the winery produces high quality red, white, rose, sparkling and dessert wines.

Pepper Tree Wines is located within the town of Pokolbin in the heart of the Hunter Valley. Many of the grapes for these varieties are grown on-site. Guests can see all the action and walk through the winery. Visitors can buy wines by the glass, bottle or case. Try coffee made from the beans roasted at Pepper Tree’s on-site facility, Contango Espresso Roasters. There is free on-site parking. Pepper Tree Wines is open daily. No appointment is needed, and there is no fee to visit the winery.

Pepper Tree Wines offers exceptional wine tasting experiences. The Hunter Valley region is known for exquisite Semillons. Sample the award-winning Pepper Tree Shiraz, merlot, pinot and chardonnay. There are four main experiences. Standard Wine Tasting includes limited release wines of the estate. Enjoy a selection of premium limited edition wines with Premium Wine Tasting. Cellar Door

The Pepper Tree Cellar Door offers the ultimate Hunter Valley wine experience. The picturesque countryside of Pokolbin surrounds this multiple award-winning boutique winery in Australia. The owner organizes numerous wine tasting events at Pepper Tree, where you can taste through their extensive range of wines at the Cellar Door. Visitors can taste their rarer library wines and premium vintage wines during these events. At the front of the property, there is a beautifully cultivated garden. After the gardens, come to the country house that serves as the Pepper Tree Cellar Door. So, make sure to take a walk in this luscious garden before you enter the Cellar Door.

The Vault

The Vault, located at Halls Road Cellar Door is designated wine-tasting space. Here you can sample limited-edition premium and rare museum wines. The Vault is open seven days a week and can accommodate up to 50 guests simultaneously. They use a Coravin pouring system so you can see how well some of your favourite Pepper Tree wines age.
