About the Scholarship

The BusCharter Student Access Scholarship was established in 2022 to help Australian students who face transport challenges in accessing their education. We understand that getting to and from campus, work placements, or educational events can be a significant barrier for many students.

As Australia’s trusted bus charter company, we believe in supporting the communities we serve. Education is a journey, and we want to help remove the barriers that make that journey harder.

Who is Bria Joyce?

Bria Joyce holds a special place within the BusCharter.com.au Group. From 2014 to 2016, she was part of the TNA Bus Hire team, joining as a trainee while completing a Certificate IV in Business and progressing into a Sales Consultant role. Her warmth, integrity, and work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues who remember her as someone who lifted those around her.

In 2016, Bria moved to Victoria to join the police force where she built a respected career marked by diligence and courage, ultimately serving with the Mildura Highway Patrol. On 8 April 2022, Bria was killed in the line of duty while performing her role as a police officer, a loss felt deeply by her family, her colleagues, and the broader community.

For Bus Charter Group, Bria embodies values the organisation strives to uphold: integrity, dedication, service, and care for others. The Bria Joyce Scholarship exists to honour her life, her sacrifice, and the standard she set, ensuring her legacy continues to guide others through the same values she lived by.
